Airbus is scaling back its ambitions for hydrogen-powered commercial aircraft, according to a new report.

The European planemaker is now aiming for a smaller aircraft of around 80 seats.

The revised target reflects the continuing challenges of developing hydrogen propulsion for commercial aviation.
