Boeing has flagged a software glitch affecting some automated approach functions on the 737 MAX, CNBC reported on September 26, 2026.

Aviation Week reported that Boeing is working to address the 737 MAX software issue as certification of the stretched 737 MAX 10 variant approaches.

Israeli outlet Israel Hayom separately reported that the 737 MAX navigation defect has triggered a new probe by the Federal Aviation Administration.
