Delta Air Lines is the only one of the four largest US carriers not using SpaceX's Starlink in-flight internet service. United, American and Southwest have moved forward with Starlink across their fleets, while Delta has instead chosen a competing service from Amazon.

The decision has escalated into a public dispute. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has repeatedly criticized Delta and its CEO Ed Bastian, while United and American have launched status-match offers aimed at Delta's elite frequent flyers.

Delta has defended its choice of in-flight connectivity provider as competitors promote Starlink's speed and free Wi-Fi plans. The outcome is being closely watched as the four largest US airlines diverge on in-flight internet strategy.
