Iran has cancelled flights to Baghdad and Muscat as a new round of United States aviation sanctions took effect.

The cancellations were reported as sanctions targeting Iran’s civil aviation sector came into force.

The suspension affects scheduled passenger services between Iran and the two regional destinations.
