A federal jury in Tampa, Florida, has ordered electric air taxi developer Joby Aviation to pay roughly $116.9 million to aircraft component supplier Aerosonic.
The jury found that Joby breached a nondisclosure agreement and misappropriated trade secrets related to air pressure sensor probes. The verdict was handed down on 2 October 2026.
Joby, which is developing electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, has indicated it intends to challenge the verdict.
