A Learjet crashed in South Florida this week, prompting a response from authorities and an investigation into the cause of the accident.

According to ABC News, family members identified the victims of the crash, who included parents and two young children.

PBS reported that parts of the jet's tail were found more than a mile from the main crash site, indicating the aircraft broke apart during the incident.
