A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey caught fire and made a hard landing during a training mission on Thursday morning in the Bladen Lakes State Forest area of North Carolina, officials said.
The tiltrotor aircraft, based out of Marine Corps Air Station New River, went down just before 10:30 a.m. near Elizabethtown, with four Marines aboard.
All four Marines received medical care, and one reportedly suffered burns in the incident.
Fire crews, the U.S. Forest Service and Marine Corps personnel responded to the scene.
