A NORAD F-16 fighter aircraft intercepted a general aviation aircraft over Palm Beach, Florida, at approximately 12:20 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The intercept came after the aircraft entered a NORAD-enforced Federal Aviation Administration Temporary Flight Restriction over the Mar-a-Lago area, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command.
Temporary flight restrictions are issued by the Federal Aviation Administration and enforced by NORAD to protect designated airspace. When an aircraft enters restricted airspace without authorization, NORAD fighter aircraft may respond to intercept it.
