Start-up carrier One Pacific Airways has secured its first Embraer ERJ 145 regional jet as it prepares to launch service across the Federated States of Micronesia, according to aviation data specialist ch-aviation.
The airline is backed by Da Yang Corporation and is being developed to expand domestic and regional air connectivity, with scheduled passenger and cargo services linking domestic centres and remote outer islands.
Its network blueprint includes Embraer ERJ 145 regional jets on longer trunk routes between Pohnpei, Chuuk, Yap, Kosrae, Majuro and Palau, alongside an introductory fleet plan that starts with a Cessna 337 and advances toward De Havilland Canada Dash 8 turboprops.
The carrier has not yet announced a firm date for the start of scheduled operations.
