Archer Aviation said on Friday that the US District Court for the Northern District of California, in a September 29 ruling, narrowed the claims against it in litigation brought by rival Joby Aero.

The court dismissed certain trade-secret and contract-related claims, and also dismissed Archer's counterclaims against Joby.

Key portions of Joby's trade-secret lawsuit against Archer were allowed to move forward, including allegations involving a former employee.

Both companies develop electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for the emerging air taxi market.
