West Virginia International Yeager Airport in Charleston has unveiled a new electric aircraft charging station, welcoming a BETA Technologies 320 kW Charge Cube to the airfield.

The charger shares the airfield with Marshall University's Bill Noe Flight School. Marshall and BETA held a ribbon cutting for the infrastructure on October 9, 2026.

BETA's all-electric ALIA conventional takeoff and landing airplane completed the first charging session and a demonstration flight during the event.

Marshall University said Huntington Tri-State Airport will be next to receive a charger as the rollout continues.
