A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Israel was forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia this week after a violent incident in the cockpit.

News outlets report that the co-pilot attacked and stabbed the captain before attempting to seize control of the aircraft.

The aircraft landed without crashing, but investigators found it sustained damage consistent with extreme speeds, steep angles and high G-force loads.

The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
