Joby Aviation has begun piloted flights of its electric air taxi across Florida, according to Yahoo Finance.

The flights mark another step in Joby's effort to certify and launch its electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for commercial use.

Joby is developing eVTOL aircraft intended for short-range urban air travel.
